Designed specifically for the Akai VX90, this transformer is the perfect solution for two common problems:
- Ditching the Step-Down Converter: If you imported a 100V (Japan) or 110-120V (US) model to a 230V region (Europe/UK/AUS), this upgrade allows you to plug your synth directly into the wall. No more bulky and heavy external step-down converters!
- Eliminating Mechanical Hum: Original vintage transformers often suffer from annoying mechanical vibrations and acoustic hum. This modern toroidal transformer is practically dead silent, making your studio environment much quieter.
Features & Installation:
- Plug & Play Wiring: The transformer comes fully pre-wired and crimped with the exact matching connectors for the Akai VX90 power board. No soldering to the synth's PCB is required!
- Easy Mounting: It secures cleanly to the bottom chassis with a single central bolt and nut (included).
- Installation Note: To mount this toroidal transformer, you will simply need to drill one small hole (4-5mm) in the metal chassis in the area of the original transformer.
