For your consideration:
From a collector's estate, the "Unicorn" Build: Vintage Feel meets 80s High-Performance. Up for sale is a rare, early-era (July 2010) build from Billy Rowe's renowned Rock N Roll Relics shop in San Francisco.
This isn't just a standard production model; the original hang tag identifies it as the "Floyd Blackie," a cool pre-standardization model name that pays homage to Clapton while delivering full-blown 80s Super Strat performance.
This guitar features a "unicorn" spec that is incredibly hard to find: a vintage-correct 7.25" neck radius paired with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo. This gives you the comfortable, round chord-feel of a 1950s/60s Fender, but with the tuning stability to handle Van Halen-style dive bombs.
Electronics & Sound The guitar is loaded with a boutique HSS set from Nunley Custom Pickups (McMinnville, TN), verified by the included original business card.
• Bridge: High-output Humbucker with a Split Coil function (likely push-pull or switch), allowing you to go from thick, hot-rodded leads to traditional single-coil snap instantly.
• Middle/Neck: Hand-wound high-end single coils for that glassy, bell-like tone.
Provenance & "Pre-Serial" Status As confirmed by the included original hang tag, this guitar was built in July 2010 (7/2010). This is from the early days of RNRR, before they moved to standardized headstock serial numbers.
• Note to collectors: There is no serial number on the back of the headstock, which is historically correct for this era. Authenticity is fully verified by the hand-filled, specific hang tag that matches the guitar's specs exactly.
