F. Vinaccia Bowlback Mandolin in Very Fine Condition, according to a master craftsman in Austin, TX who builds fine violins, cellos, and mandolins, and inspected this instrument at the Westbank String Shop on February 19, 2026. He referred to this as the "stradivarius" of mandolins, given it's extremely important historical significance - having been crafted by an early, well respected pioneer of this art in Naples, Italy near the turn of the century.
After inspecting and playing the mandolin for nearly 25 minutes, he offered the following critique: "There is No Compromise Whatsoever to the top, bottom, body, Neck, or Headstock" and should be considered in very fine, playable condition and the quality of the wood is still excellent.£
