The Compulsion Drive (tcd) is Brian Wampler’s reimagining of a legendary distortion circuit, designed to deliver the roar, sparkle, and dynamic touch sensitivity that players expect. It offers articulate crunch, harmonically rich saturation, and smooth lead tones with intuitive control and refined tonal shaping.

A three-band EQ lets you dial in the sound you want. The Mode switch provides two clipping styles: down for a traditional gain structure, up for a harder-hitting, tube-like response using cascaded MOSFET gain stages. Inside the pedal, additional tone-shaping tools expand its flexibility.

Two internal DIP switches allow deeper customization. The Fat switch adds low-end warmth for a thicker feel, while the Diode switch alters the gain profile with an additional clipping diode for tighter, more saturated distortion. These options give the tcd boutique-level versatility and precise control over its character.
