Up for sale is a pair of vintage Marantz HD440 High Definition speaker systems, manufactured circa 1979–1981.
These are classic late-70s Marantz 3-way speakers featuring:
10” woofer with red surround
• Midrange driver
• Dome tweeter
• Acoustic suspension cabinet
• 8 ohm impedance
The HD series was part of Marantz’s push into higher-fidelity domestic loudspeakers during the late 70s. They offer warm, full-bodied sound with solid low-end presence and smooth highs — ideal for pairing with vintage Marantz, Pioneer, Sansui, or modern integrated amps.
Condition:
Fully tested – all drivers working
• Cabinets show normal cosmetic wear consistent with age
• Grilles are original. One of them is missing the badge
• No major structural damage
