We bought a collection of old Tenor Banjos. Something about them fascinates me, but Tenor Banjo's are way outside what we do, and I admit to a certain ignorance about them. I had a couple buddies more knowledgeable then I tell me this guy was from the 20's, possible early 30's. The metal plate on the back keeps coming up as an Elton, and I have found a couple that look very similar called a Slingerland. I don't know, but it's a playable instrument that's around 100 years old, made in the USA with a case. Seventeen frets, 20 tension rods, and a thing of beauty!
Thanks for looking!
