For sale is my Novation ReMOTE 61SL MkII — a beast of a 61-key MIDI controller from the late 2000s that's still loved for its deep hands-on control and build quality.
This is the MkII version with touch-sensitive motorized faders, touch-sensitive rotary encoders with LED rings, backlit buttons, and that massive 144-character LCD screen that shows parameter names and values clearly—no squinting required. It was designed as a premium DAW/plug-in controller with Novation's Automap technology (instant mapping for many popular software like Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Reason, etc., though note Automap is legacy/no longer officially supported post-2010s).
Key features:
61-note semi-weighted keybed with aftertouch — feels great for expressive playing
8 motorized, touch-sensitive faders
16 touch-sensitive rotary encoders with multi-color LED rings for instant feedback
32 backlit assignable buttons
8 velocity-sensitive trigger pads
Pitch/mod joystick (with spring or free mod wheel mode)
Dedicated transport controls, mixer/page navigation, and track select buttons
Full MIDI I/O (In/Out/Thru) + USB MIDI — perfect for controlling hardware synths, modular, or vintage gear too
Expression and sustain pedal inputs
Comes with original power supply (or runs bus-powered via USB)
This thing was built like a tank—metal base, solid construction—and it's a fantastic hybrid controller for studio or live use if you want something more tactile than modern slimline options.
Condition:
Some.felt.stickers on the keys!
Excellent / Very Good+ — Fully tested and working 100%. Light cosmetic wear from normal use (a few light marks/scratches on the panel, keys clean). No issues with faders, encoders, keys, screen, or MIDI/USB. Smoke-free/pet-free studio.
OR
Good — Works perfectly, but shows more wear (fader/knob caps a bit worn, some scuffs). Still an absolute workhorse.
Included:
Novation 61SL MkII unit
power adapter
This is a discontinued classic that's hard to find in good shape these days. Perfect if you're after real faders/encoders for mixing, or need a reliable 61-key controller with tons of assignable controls for hardware setups. The MkIII is the current model with sequencers/CV, but if you want the MkII's specific Automap workflow or just a solid vintage-feel controller at a fraction of new prices, this is it.
