The Ludwig "Acrolite" snare, introduced in 1963, remains a staple model for Ludwig to this day.
The aluminum-shell "No.404" Snare, introduced as a student drum,
bright sound, quickly becoming a favorite among professionals of the era.

The lightweight and easy-to-handle Acrolite remains popular today, but the 60s models feature thinner shell lacquer, resulting in a more open and mild sound.

This particular drum appears to be a 1968 model based on the serial number and stamp inside the shell.

The head has been replaced, but the built-in mute in the large control knob is still in good condition.
and the other parts appear to be original.

There are some fine scratches and small dents, but there is no rust, and considering its age, it is in beautiful condition.
