The Super Action 80 Series I is a professional Selmer Paris model widely respected for its versatility and refined feel. Early SA80 altos are known for their centered response, strong projection, and ability to perform equally well in jazz, classical, and commercial settings.
This 1981 example has been refinished prior to our ownership. The lacquer presents cleanly overall. During the refinish process, a small portion of the original bell engraving was lightly buffed and is slightly softened but still visible.
The keywork feels responsive and comfortable under the fingers, and the horn is playing well throughout the range. No structural concerns observed.
Includes a Protec MAX case for secure storage and transport.
