A local musician was moving out of state and couldn't take all his gear with him so I bought this guitar to help him out. I already have 3 Strats, so I don't really need this. It's in immaculate condition, since he is a drummer and seldom played it. When he bought it, he said that he had the pickups replaced with a Pearly Gates humbucker and a pair of Tex Mex single coils. I suspect that the humbucker is actually a Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 based on the slightly hotter output than a Pearly Gates. I've never checked the single coils, but I have no reason to doubt them. This has a nice white pearloid pickguard and the S1 switching in the volume knob which works correctly. It comes with an aftermarket hard shell case and Schaller strap locks installed. I just put new Elixir Nanoweb 10-46 strings on it in January so it's ready to rock. Even though this is made in Mexico, it plays and sounds as nice as my American Deluxe HSS.
