Made during WWII when only 10% of the shipping weight of a drum could be metal. All else went to the war effort.
The drum looks to be all original, however it has been refinished. Very nice job as you can see, but the grommet was removed and put back on.
I believe a couple of mounting screws on the inside may not be original. Please see pics.
It was used as a display piece for many, many years. So not much wear.
HOWEVER: The reso hoop has one place that there's separation. Please see pics. AND the batter hoop has 3 i believe. I have taken a pic of everyone. There is also a crack by a lug. Looks like a knot caused it.
Nothing a few drops of glue and some clamps can't fix over night. Please see pics. I'm pointing to it. Honestly I don't know how these even held together. I find it remarkable.
