My father gave me these tabla as a gift when he traveled to Southeast Asia back in the 1990's. I never really played them, but the tabla have been out of the case and on a bookshelf most of the time (hence all the dust you see in the pictures)! The damage to the case has been there since I got these drums, it was damaged in transit by Pan Am Air. As a bonus, the case comes with original Pan Am airlines tag and newspaper packing from ~30 years ago.
When I was moving these from a shelf a few weeks ago, I noticed that the head on the larger 9" drum is ripped. I have no idea how that happened. It will need a new head. Measured at the batter-side rim, the diameters are are about 5.75" and 9".
