This is a 3 ply snare drum with rocket lugs, stick-chopper double flanged hoops, unpainted interior in original condition except for replaced heads and snare wires.

The badge and hardware are typical of the 1940s-early 1950s Broadkaster: Rocket lugs with brass inserts, #5385 strainer, #5386 butt plate, unpainted interior

It came to me quite dirty with surface corrosion on metal parts. The hoops were deformed due to over tensioning. The dirt and corrosion were removed revealing the patina and some surface flaws. I was able to get the hoops back in round to within 1/16"-1/8". The hoops seat well on the heads. The drum is loud and quite lively when un muted, with a bright tone.

The original blue/green lacquer is faded with wood finish showing.
