Trader-BOB's MUSIC offers a very nice Recording King Model "D", lap steel guitar, made by Gibson, 1939 - 1940. New strings, tuned open "G", DGDGBD. Plays and sounds great. Serial number on the back of the headstock, "DWE-652", no serial number info on the internet. Original tuners, work great. Whomever played this must have had some long fingernails, judging from the marks on the body, both sides of the string path. Original electronic, pots cleaned and lubed, no hissing. Split blade pickup. Original control knobs. Original hard case, latches and hinges in good shape.
