1998 Gibson Les Paul Special SL – All Original – 490R/498T – OHSC
Very clean, all-original 1998 Gibson Les Paul Special SL from the early Les Paul Special reissue era (which began in 1989). This is the desirable factory humbucker version with the 490R / 498T pickup set and original nitrocellulose finish.
The SL (“Sans Lacquer”) models are known for their unique history — originally intended to be poly finished, but ultimately produced in nitro, giving them the traditional Gibson look and feel with a thinner, broken-in vibe.
