Up for sale is an incredible 1977 Custom Les Paul, made in Japan and featuring the serial number 766143. This vintage instrument hails from the height of the lawsuit era, a period in the late 70s when Japanese manufacturers were crafting stunningly accurate replicas of iconic American designs, particularly the Les Paul. These guitars are highly regarded by collectors for their build quality, tone, and affordability compared to their American counterparts.

This Custom Les Paul copy features a flame maple top over a solid mahogany body, delivering rich, resonant tones with excellent sustain. The dual humbuckers provide the warm, thick sound you expect from a vintage Les Paul, with enough bite for rock, blues, and everything in between. The classic Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece has a great tuning stability together with the tuners.

The guitar has aged beautifully over the years: the goldwear is in good condition, slight wear on the humbucker caps. The frets are about 95% left. Butter smooth neck, extremely comfortable in the hand and has a good C profile. Low action and intonated.
