🔥 UNLEASH THE SYKES SHRED – Rare John Sykes LC-70JS LPC! 🔥
This is the one. The exact Japanese-built beast that pays direct tribute to Whitesnake / Thin Lizzy legend John Sykes – and it looks, feels, and ROARS exactly like the axe that defined ’80s hard rock.
The Look That Stops Traffic
Gloss jet-black finish over a carved maple-top mahogany body – the ultimate “Black Beauty” silhouette. Mirrored pickup rings flash like chrome lightning under stage lights (Sykes’ signature touch). Split-diamond headstock inlay, bound rosewood fretboard with bold block markers, custom “John Sykes” truss rod cover, reflector knobs, and gleaming chrome hardware. Every inch drips pure ’80s excess and class.
The Tone That Hits Like a Freight Train
Loaded with original VH-1G (neck) and VH-1JS (bridge) humbuckers – hot PAF-style wound monsters that read right around 8k ohms. Think: buttery-smooth highs with bite, thick snarling mids, and low-end growl that pins you to the wall. Clean up with the volume knobs for glassy chime, or crank it and you’re instantly in “Still of the Night” territory – harmonics that scream, sustain that lasts forever, and that signature Sykes aggression that cuts through any mix.
Built Like a Tank (But Plays Like a Dream)
- Mahogany body + carved maple cap
- Mahogany neck, medium-C profile (.85″ at 1st fret, .92″ at 12th) – fast, fat, and comfortable
- Bound rosewood board, 22 medium-jumbo frets (zero wear)
- 24 ¾″ scale, 1 11/16″ nut
- ABR-1 bridge, stop tail, Gotoh tuners – rock-solid tuning stability
- Full-size Japanese pots, three-way switch
Weighing in at a perfect ~9 lbs, this thing has the authentic Les Paul heft and resonance without being a boat anchor. It was built in the golden “lawsuit” era of Fernandes/Burny when Japanese craftsmanship was absolutely unmatched – tighter tolerances, better wood selection, and finishes that still look killer 35+ years later.
Whether you’re a die-hard Sykes fan, a ’80s rock revivalist, or just someone who demands a Les Paul that actually delivers the goods, this LC-70JS is the real deal. It’s not a reissue. It’s not a cheap copy. It’s the one the pros chased back in the day.
Serious players only. This guitar is ready to go straight from the case to the stage or studio and make every other guitar in the room jealous.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy
We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.
We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
