Cozart Explorer 2020 Pelham Blue Metallic in tweed case

We are selling this Cozart Explorer in a very nice heavy duty tweed molded case. The guitar alone weighs 6 lb 8.4 oz and in the case the total weight is 20 lb 10.3 oz. This is part of an estate of 73 guitars we recently received. The following is how he described this guitar:

Cozart (or Kart) Explorer (often found on eBay and sometimes branded as "King") is a budget-oriented guitar featuring a distinct "Pelham Blue" style finish and Explorer-style body shape. 

Design and Build

·Size: Despite being an Explorer shape, it is described as a 3/4 size guitar, or at least smaller than a standard Gibson Explorer, with some comparing its footprint to a Chapman Ghost Fret.

·Scale Length: It features a full 24-3/4 inch scale length.

·Body/Neck: Constructed with a basswood body and a maple neck.

·Finish: Noted to have decent, good-quality paint.

·Hardware: Mismatched gold hardware, with keystone-style tuners that are aesthetically pleasing but of low quality. 

Electronics and Sound

·Pickups: The humbucker pickups are not wax-potted, which can lead to microphonic feedback at high volumes.

·Components: Uses "dime" (small) pots, which are functional but difficult to replace with standard CTS pots. 

Verdict

The Cozart Explorer is considered a solid platform for modifications due to its decent body and finish but often requires upgrading of electronics and hardware for better performance. It is generally sold as a budget instrument, often including a surprisingly good-quality case.
