This Sennheiser MKH 815T Shotgun Microphone (Vintage - Silver) is a legendary "monster" shotgun mic, famously used in film and television production throughout the 1970s and 80s. Known for its extreme reach and narrow directionality, it is the long-tube predecessor to the iconic MKH 816 and a predecessor to the modern MKH 8070.Key Features

• RF Condenser Technology: Unlike traditional DC-biased condensers, this mic uses high-frequency modulation, making it virtually immune to high humidity and extreme temperature changes—perfect for demanding outdoor location recording.
• Lobar/Supercardioid Polar Pattern: Features an exceptionally long interference tube that provides tight side rejection even at lower frequencies. It is ideal for capturing dialogue or sound effects at a great distance where close-miking is impossible.
