1984 Fender Flame Standard, 100% original and perfect working order. Part of the Fender Master Series, Dan Smith designed, available from 1983-1985. Cherry Sunburst with Schaller hardware (chrome plated) and Schaller made humbuckers.
The Flame has a chambered alder body, carved bound maple top , maple set neck (slender C shape profile), bound rosewood fretboard and bound headstock. The 24 3/4” scale neck plays cleanly top to bottom, truss rod adjusts as it should, bone nut and weighs 8 lb 8oz. All electronics work as they should; 2 volume, 2 tone and 3 way pickup selector. The Schaller built pickups are highly responsive to user input with a full, broad low end sounding neck pickup and distinct biting bridge pickup that work well together.
The guitar shows standard play wear. There is a small chip, bottom edge, near the knobs, a small scuff mark on the top of the headstock binding and some dings/buckle rash on the back of the body. Please see the pictures and ask questions.
A used padded soft shell case is included.
