Few things look as great as they sound but man, the RT-707 is just a triumph in engineering and design. From the gleaming aluminum face, to the vertical analog VU meters, it's a joy to behold and the sound on these units is outstanding. It was/is a highly regarded consumer model that featured professional-grade functionality, such as a direct-drive capstan motor, a 3-motor system, and auto-reverse playback for continuous listening. It was designed to be rack-mounted and remains a popular and collectible vintage item among audiophiles. This machine is in very good shape, with the only cosmetic flaw being a bent upper left rack ear, from a presumed fall. All the electronics (including the heads--see pix) check out great. The metal Pioneer reels in the pictures do not come with this deck.
