This is an amazing Horn in ready to play condition. D Calicchio New York Superior Trumpet ML. Serial number #1272 put manufacturing at about 1946, a year before Dominic moved to Los Angeles.
During the restoration of this Horn, it has passed through the hands of some of the best in the business - valves re-plate and refit by Mark Metzler, restoration by Kevin Stiles at Heritage Music in KC, and finally a valve alignment and lead pipe adjustment by Mike Del Quadro. In other words, it’s ready to go.
Even after an expert restoration, there are still minor signs of previous work, including a bell dent removal as seen in the pics.
