Up for sale, a 1960 Fender Telecaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a blonde G&G Deluxe hardshell case. Crafted early in ‘60, this Telecaster boasts a body-only refinish and light relic in custom color Tahitian Coral nitro lacquer, retaining original electronics, hardware and plastics.
Tonewoods include an alder body and a maple neck capped with a slab Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, lively and resonant with a strong treble cut when strummed acoustically. The single coil pickups are punchy, sweet, and immediate, with modern wiring on the three-way switch (Bridge, Bridge+Neck, Neck). The bridge pickup has a chewy sparkle and particularly balanced, even sound, and each string has equal presence with both treble snap and bass-register breadth. The neck pickup is bell-like, smooth and detailed with excellent percussive cut. This Telecaster weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Tahitian Coral nitro lacquer refinish courtesy of Carson Hess is very accurate in its hue and saturation, exhibiting subtle checking and wear as part of Hess’ aging process, with light aging of the clear coat and a “tan line” beneath the pickguard. The original nitro gloss on the neck profile has been lightly oversprayed, with palm wear through the gloss along the bass-side shoulder for much of the profile.
A modern G&G Deluxe blonde tolex hardshell case is included.
