To professional flute players the name Haynes needs no introduction. Arguably makers of the finest handmade flutes in the world!

This is a solid sterling silver flute, handmade during the heyday of flute making in the Columbus Ave. workshop in 1943. Standard cut embouchure for the richest most warm tone imaginable. Gold springs give the action a light springy response.
Probably played very little and well preserved and cared for. Mechanically this flute was found in exceptional condition. This superb instrument was just restored with all new pads, new corks and felts. Looks and plays beautifully. The design is very delicate yet the tube is heavy .018". Which gives it a deep rich tone. Truly a carry over of the French flute makers of the late 19th century. This flute was made before the US mint switched to coin silver which is 92.5% pure silver and this percentage carried over to the flute manufacturers. This flute is 100% pure sterling silver. And you can hear it in the sound. It comes with the original tenon covers and the original case also in great condition.

Sounding length 23 5/8" and plays easily at A=440.

Included is the original French case, a new fleece padded zipper cover, wood cleaning stick and new satin swab.
