Tama Superstar 5 Piece Drum Set 1980s - Black

Pure birch Tama goodness from the 1980s! This was a top of the line kit back in its day, not to be confused with the mid-market Superstar Classics they make now. These are powerful and well-constructed birch shells. They also feature finished black interiors, which not only looks great, but gives them more focused tone. 12/13/14/16/22 sizes, and deeper toms, as was custom in the 80s.

This is definitely a players kit. It has quite a number of flaws in the finish, which I've tried to capture in the pictures. The kit is mostly original, but the tom mount and a few wing nuts are replacements. The chrome is in great shape and the heads have plenty of life left.

Overall, it's a great set. Everything was just taken apart and cleaned, and it's all perfectly functional. It still looks great and is ready to rock for another 40 years.

PLEASE NOTE: the cymbal stand and mount pictured with the 14" tom are not included. I'm happy to negotiate them into an offer, but this must be discussed before purchase.
