Ca. 1967 Prestige (Kawai) double cutaway guitar.
I have gone thru this guitar and now it plays like a champ!
The frets have very little wear. I leveled, crowned and polished them. The action is now less than 4/64".
The nut action is .018"-.015" low to high respectively. Very easy playing. New set of Erine's Balls 9's. The pots have been treated with De-oxit and are quiet with no scratchiness. The switches work properly. The jack is a little temperamental.
The original tremolo arm was missing so I made an adapter, and it will now accept a Stratocaster style arm.
The nut width is 1.6680". Width at the 12 fret is 1.9555". Weight is 6 pounds 10 ounces.
The neck pickup sounds amazing. The bridge pickup sits a little far from the strings so isn't as loud as the neck pickup. That could be fixed by removing the springs, but I left it original.
Comes with the original gig bag but it has a broken zipper. Will be packed carefully. Check out my feedback.
