RARE 1981 Tokai Hard Puncher with Candy Apple Red finish. Gonna keep lowering the price till someone grabs it. This P-bass was a custom order for a Japanese customer, with its rare maple board and matching headstock. It has the original headstock shape, before Tokai was forced to change it to a more angular style... ("lawsuit era"). It's in great shape, Pro set-up, perfect intonation and string height, truss-rod works as it should in both directions. Feels and sounds awesome on stage and in the recording studio, and frankly, puts a lot of P's to shame. A better bang for your buck. Japanese craftsmanship from this era is extraordinary and it has been stated that Tokai was much more meticulous than it's USA counterparts during this time period. Gigbag included..... I have a nice collection of MIJ "lawsuit era" Precision basses, so keep checking back for additional future listings. They are becoming very collectible. There are informative articles about made in Japan "lawsuit era" instruments online you can check out for an interesting read. Best regards and respect to my fellow musicians 🙂
