I have had the pleasure of owning this guitar amazing 1961 0-15 for the past 9 years. It has an amazing rich tone that can only come from one of these old martin all Mahogany 0-15's.

During my ownership this guitar has had a professional neck reset (9 years ago). I just took it in for a refret where they also adjusted the fingerboard (via the new frets) for optimum playability (see pictured receipt). They also addressed a loose brace, and adjusted the nut slots (also for optimum playability.) so that is also all done. This thing plays like a dream! So smooth. So now you will not have to pay another $1600 or more, like you would for many vintage guitars sold on eBay and other places that are so often in need of a neck reset and other repairs. This has all been done and all you have to do is enjoy this great guitar.

This guitar is an all mahogany gem. It has such a sweet mellow sound from all the years of beautifully aged wood. This guitar was well taken care of and is very clean. There are some minor nicks and scratches for a guitar this age but nothing major.  This was the last year that Martin made this guitar.

All the work for this guitar was completed by Dave Strunk at Brothers Music Shop in PA.
Dave Strunk repaired and built Martin guitars at the Martin factory in Nazareth PA for over 20 years so he knows what he is doing. He set the action for very pleasurable playing.

Dave also was able to fix / stabilize two very minor cracks on the guitar top before I bought it from them in 2017. Both are pictured. One is to the right of where the fretboard attaches to the top and the other is near the bottom seam (the seam is NOT a crack, the crack is only slight and closer to the bridge in the photo). Dave said both were minor cracks and he was able to stabilize them without the need to add any cleats to the guitar. They are hard to even see in normal light.   I just had this in for a checkup and 9 years later, the two cracks are stile stable. Finally, and barely worth mentioning, there is a very minor hairline crack on the bottom and one on the side (both pictured) that were also sealed without need for cleats and are stable.

Lastly, 9 years ago, Dave re-glued the original bridge so there is some slight finish touch up near the bridge but not very noticeable and it has aged very well over the 9 years to blend in nicely. Everything, including the tuners, nut, and finish are original.

The action is to Martin specs (3/32 on 6th string and 2/32 on 1st string) or maybe slightly lower and plays easily without fret buzz.   Dave just put fresh 12-54 light gauge strings on it so it is ready to play and enjoy out of the case!

The sound that comes from this small guitar is sweet and amazing. You will not be disappointed with this guitar as no one that picks it up and plays it is.  I just have too many redundant guitars right now and it is time to thin the herd a bit.

Finally, this guitar includes a brand new, very nice Martin case. So will also allow it will be well secured during shipping!

This guitar and case comes from a smoke free home and I take extremely good care of all my guitars and always make sure they are in the right humidity level and this one has been no different.
I have experience shipping guitars and this guitar will be very carefully packaged and include insurance for the purchase price.
