Vintage 1959 Fender Stratocaster Maple Neck
You don't see these for sale very often folks!
This is THEE neck for your late 1958 / early 1959 Stratocaster project build!
This 1959 neck is the PERFECT neck for your vintage Strat Build. With a neck butt pencil date of 1/59 (January 1959), this is very early 1959. The last of the great 50's Maple necks before Fender would change to the slab-board necks later that year. This is a great "player grade" neck as it's been fully refinished and re-fretted. The matching body (also dated 1/59) and many of the other 1959 parts from this guitar can be found in our other listings. The headstock on this neck shows a 2nd piece of maple laminated under the decal. You can see the mis matched grain in this area, but the contours match perfectly. We have not seen this before, and we do know that Leo was pinching pennies to a degree that he would use any part, or any wire available in certain scenarios that lead to some of these anomalies in Fender history.
This neck is straight and true and plays great. The truss rod works perfectly and most importantly it Sounds Amazing!
Correct for your big money 50's Strat body!
