2005 Gibson Flying V 1968 Reissue in Heritage Cherry, built May 14, 2005 at Gibson’s Nashville facility (Serial: 013485474). This is the USA production ’68 Reissue model — gloss finish, dot inlays, large guard configuration — faithful to late-’60s specification. These are hard to find. The '67s are everywhere but not these. At the time of this posting, there were no others on the market.
The Heritage Cherry gloss finish presents beautifully with visible mahogany grain throughout the body and neck. Headstock, logo, guard shape, hardware configuration, and control layout are correct for a mid-2000s USA ’68 Reissue.
