Offering a vintage 1940's RCA 88A "Pressure" Dynamic Microphone. This is a general purpose mic meant for P.A. or communications use. The audio profile leans toward a midrange dominant sound with bass roll-off, but audio is clean and hum-free. This one comes with the RARE sound baffle, that round attachment on the front that was designed to help block sound from behind, reducing feedback. (Check out the voice sample recorded on this mic, in the listing video.)
The overall condition has some average surface wear, but still very presentable given it's 80 year life span, and has the iconic RCA logo emblazoned on both sides. The mic includes that attached mic stand ball/pivot joint that allows the mic to tilt in any direction while mounted. It also has the pipe thread to standard 5/8" female thread to accommodate older or modern stands. A short XLR cable is hardwired to a male XLR plug, and includes the heavily-weighted iron desk stand. ** Always safe, fast fair shipping, plus we offer combined shipping when making multiple purchases.**
