Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute 14x5.5 Snare Drum – 2006–08 Tour Use
This 14” x 5.5” Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute was my primary touring snare between 2006 and 2008. It’s a versatile maple drum with the articulate response and projection these models are known for. It tunes evenly and functions exactly as it should.
Included in the listing is a photo from a Drum Magazine feature from that period, showing it in use during that era.
Condition
- Good player’s condition.
- Cosmetically, the die-cast hoops show chrome flaking/pitting consistent with touring use.
- The interior lug mounting screws exhibit oxidation.
These issues are cosmetic and reflected in the price. Please review all photos carefully. Sold as-is. It will be packed thoughtfully and securely.
Why I’m Selling
I’ve updated my snare lineup and prefer to keep only instruments that are actively in use. This drum has served me well on tour and deserves to be played.
