This is a Marceau cornet from the early 1900's. It is used, and in excellent shape. All of the valves and slides work well. Marceau was a Sears & Roebuck trademark for brass instruments made in Europe. It is a company that went out of business in 1945. There is no serial number. It its place is "B F". The valve casings are marked 1, 2, and 3. Under the #2 is the number 12 (I don't know what that means). The finish is quite good, and shows minor wear. There a small indentation near where the bell meets the 1st valve. The case is original. It does come with a mouthpiece (Bach 7C). The pictures show all of this.
