Surf the Sonic Tsunami: 2016 Fender Japan Classic '60s Jazzmaster in Olympic White – Your Retro Shred Sled Awaits!

Hey, offset obsessives and indie rock renegades! Ready to ride the wave of vintage vibes with a guitar that's got more swagger than a '60s surf legend? Behold this stunning 2016 Fender Japan Classic '60s Jazzmaster, cloaked in a crisp Olympic White finish that pops like fresh powder under stage lights – a true homage to the golden era of Fender's wild-child design. Crafted in Japan with meticulous precision, this beast captures the essence of the original '60s Jazzmaster: that iconic offset body shape for killer ergonomics, lightweight alder construction (tipping the scales at a comfy 8 lbs) that resonates with warm, woody depth, and contours that melt into your torso for hours of fatigue-free jamming. Whether you're channeling the jangly chime of Sonic Youth, the fuzzy fury of My Bloody Valentine, or the twangy twirls of classic surf rock, this Jazzmaster's got the versatility to twist genres into knots.

Dive deeper into the details: The one-piece maple neck rocks a slim, vintage C-profile that's silky-smooth and lightning-fast, measuring .83" at the 1st fret and .90" at the 12th for effortless bends and chord work. Topped with a rich rosewood fretboard boasting a classic 7.25" radius, pearl dot inlays, and 21 vintage-style frets with zero wear – freshly crowned and dressed for pinpoint intonation. The 25.5" scale length delivers that signature Fender snap, while the vintage-style tremolo system (with locking saddles for stability) lets you dive-bomb with abandon or add subtle vibrato shimmer without going out of tune. Tuned up with chrome hardware that gleams like new, including the original Rhythm/Lead circuit switch for those quirky tonal shifts that make Jazzmasters a cult favorite.

Sonically? Pure magic on steroids! Dual soapbar-style single-coil pickups pump out that legendary Jazzmaster growl – bright, articulate highs that sparkle like ocean spray, punchy mids for gritty overdrive, and a low-end thump that's fat yet focused. Flip between the lead circuit for biting solos or the rhythm circuit for warmer, darker tones perfect for ambient swells or clean arpeggios. Passive electronics keep it simple: master volume, master tone, and that preset rhythm tone knob for instant vibe switches. Professionally set up and dialed in for optimal tone and playability, with buttery-low action, flawless setup, and sustain that sings forever – this axe is gig-ready right out of the case, begging you to plug in and unleash tidal waves of sound.

Condition? Near mint and collector-worthy, folks – the front and sides are pristine, with no buckle rash or scratches to speak of. Just two small dings on the back (check the pics for the honest battle scars from light adventures), purely cosmetic and adding a whisper of character without affecting playability or value. Otherwise, it's been babied: clean pickguard, spotless hardware, and a straight neck that's truer than true. This isn't just a guitar; it's a time capsule of Fender's rebellious spirit, blending Japanese craftsmanship with '60s soul for a tone that's as timeless as it is thrilling.

Don't let this white whale slip away into the depths! Snag it now and make your riffs legendary – whether you're a Jazzmaster junkie, garage rocker, or tone explorer. DM me before another sonic surfer catches the wave! 🎸🌊🔥

A masterful Japanese reissue of Fender's offset icon, fusing vintage authenticity with modern reliability. Essential for collectors, shoegaze shamans, or anyone craving that elusive Jazzmaster juju – this is your gateway to guitar greatness!

Our Guarantee

We stand behind every guitar we sell. “Good enough” is never good enough. Every instrument is inspected, set up, and tested by multiple people immediately before shipping. We deliver the highest standard of quality and have built a reputation as a three-time NAMM Top 100 Dealer since 2009. The Dude Abides.

Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)

- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.

- Intonation is spot-on.

- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.

- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.

Payment, Shipping & International Duties

- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.

- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.

- Most U.S. shipments are sent via UPS or FedEx with full insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation. All packages are professionally packed for maximum protection.

International Shipping Note

International shipping prices shown are for most countries. Certain countries have higher costs. We try and avoid USPS and mostly ship UPS. Express services (UPS, DHL, FedEx) are always available. Contact us for a personalized quote.

Thank you for considering The Guitar Dude. We look forward to earning your business and delivering a guitar that exceeds your expectations. Contact us anytime for questions, consignment inquiries, layaway details, or a personalized shipping quote.
