For sale: a killer 2001 Fender American Vintage ‘62 Stratocaster Reissue in VG condition and perfect working order. Freshly set up with 10-46 gauge strings, this guitar plays beautifully with a straight neck, low action, and spot-on intonation. The pickups have been upgraded with two Suhr 60’s single coils and a Lollar in the bridge position, all of which sound exceptional—rich, punchy, and full of single coil goodness

Cosmetically, this instrument is pretty clean and has been well maintained. That’s said, it‘a been played so it does exhibits the typical signs of use: dings, dents, light scratches and swirl marks. There appears to be an old signature on the front of the body but you can only faintly see part of it as the majority of it has been removed. Lastly, there‘s the beginning of some finish wear on the top where the players right arm rests. This was really hard to capture in the pics but can be seen in the right light if you’re up close. The original frets look great still only showing the slightest hint of wear on frets 1-3 mostly under the plain strings. Be sure to check out the photos for a closer look—and please excuse any reflections.

In addition to the aforementioned upgraded pickups the wiring was upgraded with Emerson pots and cap as well as a TBX tone pot in the bottom tone position.

All in all, this is a killer example of a ‘62 reissue that’s been played—and loved—because it sounds and feels so damn good. What’s the old cliché? The good ones get played.
