Back in 2002, Korg debuted the original microKORG, a unit inspired by the prior MS2000. The former quickly emerged as a cult classic, thanks to its flexible analog-modeling engine, mobility-minded form factor, detailed controls, and, of course, the vocoder. While several siblings have spawned in the ensuing 20-plus years, the wait for a proper successor is finally over with the next-gen incarnation of the microKORG virtual analog synthesizer and vocoder.
