The “EURO Series” crafted by skilled Czech artisans.

This is the Japan Exclusive Series, featuring a beautiful Japanese-exclusive color with poplar veneer.

Unlike the standard EURO CST, it features a JJ-style pickup configuration instead of the signature reverse PJ layout,

and maple fingerboard instead of ebony.

The beautiful blue body paired with the lighter maple fingerboard creates a striking combination, perfectly complemented by the abalone crown inlay.

In stark contrast to the flashy top, the body back is solid white.

This duality—where the impression seen by the player differs greatly from that seen by the audience—

exudes a charm reminiscent of an Akita dog, affectionate only towards those it trusts.

The pickups are EMG, and the preamp is a co-development between Darkglass and Spector.

Though it's a two-band EQ (treble and bass), the range is surprisingly wide. Cutting both bands yields a dry, passive-like sound, while boosting both delivers that signature Spector punchy, bass-heavy tone.

Personally, I find the best way to maximize this model's sound is to keep both knobs at 12 o'clock most of the time, then make subtle adjustments: slightly boosting bass for pick playing, and boosting both for slapping.

The EURO series utilizes lightweight hardware components,

resulting in this 5-string bass weighing approximately 3.98kg—a weight comparable to a passive 4-string bass.

Its ergonomically designed curved body contours to fit comfortably whether standing or seated,

enabling hours of playability thanks to its lightweight construction and body-hugging fit.

The highly practical 35-inch scale length is a welcome feature for a 5-string bass, eliminating the slack tension often felt on fifth strings.

Even when down-tuned, it maintains excellent resonance without compromising tone.

The 24-fret through-neck provides exceptionally easy access to the upper frets, undoubtedly sparking creativity for bass arrangements and improvisation.
