Early 2000s Allen and Heath mixing console.

This mixer has had a full service and every fader, pot and button is like new - solid and dependable, it’s built like a tank. There’s a reason PA hire companies still rent these out for shot term use. They’re built like a tank.

8 Mono mic channels and 2 stereo line channels make up 12 inputs.

The built in effects are surprisingly good, with the ability to control additional parameters using a MIDI controller and editing software.

Additional S/PDIF digital output is perfect for a direct connection to a recorder / interface that has digital inputs.

Build like a proper recording console, vertical cards for future maintenance and sealed nuts connected to the panel. Copper bus bridge, you’d have to make a serious effort to damage this thing.

100mm smooth action ALPS faders give this desk the feel of something worth 10x the price.

Individual 48V phantom power on each channel - you don’t have to worry about accidentally feeding phantom power to a beloved ribbon mic :)

4 band EQ and a HPF

Perfect front end for recording. No direct outs, but can tap into the insert points.

Also perfect summing mixer, it feels weighty but no

HPF before the EQ on the inserts is perfect for adding a compressor at the inset point, remove any low end rubbish that’ll trigger the comp.

Separate outs perfect for A/B switching between main and alt monitors.

Parametric EQ on the outputs!! And they sound great, you could use this and an external compressor basically as your mastering chain and then record digital out direct to a recorder. Nice.

accepts any voltage, so would work in any country worldwide with no power converters needed
