This is one Stratocaster I never thought I would be offering up for sale…. This beauty is one of the Fender Custom Shop’s 2012 NAMM Summer Showcase, Limited Edition “Pro” Stratocasters. The name ”Pro” in this case actually stands for ‘Prototype,’ rather than ‘Professional’ which fender uses regularly now. The NAMM show is the perfect place to show off The Fender Custom Shop’s newest models and prototype guitars. I have added a link to view the 2012 Fender Custom Shop’s Prototype Strat video below. This could very well be the ‘Perfect Stratocaster.’ That being said, it really should be in the hands of someone who will put her to work on an album or a stage! She has been case kept by myself, as well as the previous owner who purchased her after the NAMM show. She is essentially as clean and new as the day they packed her up and took her home from the show. This is a Prototype Relic Strat with just the right amount of professional relic wear in my opinion. She is custom built for the show, so her characteristics are slightly different from the run of the mill Custom Shop Strat upgrades.

All specs are outlined in detail in the CS Floor Traveler photo. On the show display COA, you will notice they spared no expense on this guitar. If you are familiar with any of the Abigail (Abby) Hand-wound C.S. pickups, then you already know how this guitar sounds! If you know about the C.S. Red Hot hand-wound pickups or have researched them, then you already know how special this guitar is. I will let the photos and youtube links listed below do the rest of the ‘talking.’

There is no aftermarket wear, no wear present which was not created by the custom shop, there is no fret sprouting, there are no dead spots, no fret buzz, no neck bowing, no aftermarket “upgrades,” and all electronics remain untouched/ unmodified/ replaced, etc. This guitar is remarkably playable and is set up with 10’s currently.
