1965 fender mustang in Olympic white, with a slab rosewood fretboard. Original finish on the neck, refin body. Original pickguard and pickup covers, original switches and 1964 pots. Original neck plate . It has a Smitty low wind 59 in the neck at about 5.7k and a super heavyweight 37k single coil in the bridge that I had custom made for this guitar and I know what you're thinking, 37k?!, yes, it's a true single coil. But compresses like a humbucker. It actually sounds pretty amazing. Back of the Neck has two dings by the 12th fret. You can feel them . But they can be fixed by someone with experience. Honestly I don't notice them too much when I play.
It has a tremolo from the 70s maybe. Not sure when but it isn't pat pending. I have flipped the bar around for a more gibson style setup. And if tuning stability on a mustang is a problem for you, try this trick you'll never go back.
Looks like the pickguard was altered to accommodate a different bridge pickup at some point in it's history. And the body route on the bridge pickup was slightly enlarged near the bridge. Not really enough to consider it a route, but just a slight modification.
Great sounding , great playing mustang at a great price for a vintage one. No case unfortunately.
But if you want that Nirvana sound on a stock looking Mustang.... This is your chance. Truly a sleeper that will make anyone who picks it up go, "whoa!!!!"
