A bit of history: the Nocaster refers to the short period during which Fender had removed the Broadcaster name, before it eventually became the Telecaster. It’s amusing to note that Fender later adopted the ‘Nocaster’ name, originally coined by collectors themselves. This NOS (New Old Stock) version is therefore not Relic, but left the Custom Shop in a brand-new finish. The body is, of course, ash, paired with a maple neck and matching maple fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. It is fitted with a Twisted Tele pickup in the neck position and a Broadcaster pickup at the bridge, both hand-wound and signed by the legendary Abigail “Abby” Ybarra. Sold with its certificate of authenticity in its original tweed case.
