Laplante Guitars Custom Telecaster 2010's Natural - Wide Nut!

Up for sale is gorgeous LaPlante guitar with an extra wide neck. Perfect for people with big hands or people coming from a classical guitar.

This is made by Jean-Pierre Laplante out of Kingston Ontario. I reached out to him in 2020 to ask about the guitar and JP responded with:

"that guitar was custom built to the customer specs in 2010. Original pics can be found on my website on “Page 4”of the section “ pics and clips”. From your pic, I can see that the customer eventually changed the pickups. wrt the string spacing, the original customer wanted a wider neck (and so, a wider string spacing). He obviously changed his mind at some point later and reduced the string spacing at the nut. The wiring is “Garden variety” Tele! And before I forget, the body is heavily hollowed out, just keeping a 4 inch wide center block and about 1 inch all around the body.

The top is 5A Curly maple, and the body core, mahogany. Neck is maple with a center strip of a wood I don’t remember the name of (walnut maybe?)"

While I've owned it I've had the nut replaced and the guitar set-up by Shy Boy and Tex in Toronto.

The specs as best as I can tell are:

• Little Seymour Duncan '59 pickups
• 1.875" Nut width
• Gotoh 510 Tuners
• 5-piece laminate neck
• Flame maple top
• Weight relieved body
• Mahogany body

The guitar is gorgeous and plays great. I've had it for at least 7 years. I'm trying to thin down the collection. This is listed as good condition, but has a number of scratches and dings as would be expected from a almost 20 year old guitar. I've done my best to document these in the pictures.
