The PBR TRS3 features 48 customizable, bright LCD displays, one for each front-panel connection point, reducing confusion and streamlining workflows. Personalize these displays effortlessly by connecting a USB computer keyboard directly to the PBR TRS3 or using the included PatchCAD software to design and export custom labels via the same USB port. For ultimate flexibility, the PBR TRS3 offers three switchable normalization routing options: normal, non-normal, and half-normal, ensuring it adapts seamlessly to your studio's specific needs.

Functional and Customizable LCD Displays

The PBR TRS3 LIT combines style with practicality, featuring LCD displays that support up to 6 characters per channel for clear, concise labeling of your connections.

Customizing these displays is simple and flexible. You can either connect a USB keyboard directly to the front of the unit and type in your labels or use the intuitive PatchCAD software (Mac/Windows) to create your custom labels on your computer.

PatchCAD’s spreadsheet-like interface makes it quick and familiar—just type your desired labels, export the file to a USB drive, and plug it into the patchbay. Press the Update button, and your changes are instantly applied.

PatchCAD also offers a bonus feature: it allows you to print custom labels for your traditional patchbays, ensuring your entire setup is as organized as possible.

Normalled Operation

When a module is set to normalled and connections are made to the top rear and top front jacks, the signal is passed through from the top rear to the top front.

A normalled configuration allows you to run several devices in series by using patch cables on the front of the patchbay to interconnect several of your devices. For example, you could run a signal from a preamp to a compressor, and finally, to a reverb. A cable inserted into the bottom rear will have its connection broken when a cable is inserted into the top front.

Half-Normalled Operation

When a module is set to half-normalled and connections are made to the rear top, rear bottom, and front top jacks, the signal is passed through from the top rear to the top front—without breaking the connection.

Non-Normalled Operation (Thru)

AKA "open" or "thru". In non-normalled configuration, the top and bottom rows of jacks are not connected at all.

Modules set to non-normalled operation will pass signal straight through from front-to-back or back-to-front, but not vertically. Useful for setups where you do not want your devices to automatically route anywhere.
