Gibson Uke-1 Ukulele 1927

Vintage Soprano Gibson Uke-1 made in 1927. This Ukulele is all mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. This Ukulele's back has been replaced with a new mahogany back using vintage mahogany stock. The Ukulele has a strong voice and is easy to play.

Please check out the pics for all of the nicks, dings and scratches. The bridge is original and you can see the string slots are worn and require multiple knots to hold the string in the bridge. The case I believe is of the era, not sure if it's the original or not. I've seen other original ukulele Gibson cases from the era which are very similar.

The tuners have been updated with new Waverly Ukulele Friction Pegs with ebony knobs. I have the original friction tuners and will include them in the package.

One crack in the top was repaired and cleated, there is another location on the fretboard at the bottom where a small section .5 x .5 was refurbished.

The strings are new Soprano Ukulele strings made by Martin.

Also included in the package is. a Vintage lesson book made by Smith's, entitled Comic Songs for the Ukulele from 1923.
