Up for sale, a 2013 Fender American Vintage ‘64 Telecaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A discontinued model, this American Vintage Telecaster faithfully recreates the finer points of a ‘64 Tele, featuring a Mid ‘60s neck profile, Round-Lam rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, model-specific Pure Vintage ‘64 Gray-Bottom (bobbin) single coil pickups, and a gloss Flash Coat Lake Placid Blue nitro lacquer finish, a rebranding of the Thin Skin concept in that the finish is simply pure, thin nitro without a poly sealer coat, ensuring optimal acoustic resonance.
Lightweight at 7lbs 5oz, this American Vintage ‘64 Telecaster has a big, ringing acoustic voice which translates well through the pickup pair: these Pure Vintage single coils feature gray bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and staggered, beveled Alnico magnet pole pieces in the bridge position, yielding percussive sparkle with a nice midrange kick. The neck pickup has a silky smooth quality and bell-like chime, and the bridge is pure Tele twang and cut. This American Vintage ‘64 Telecaster benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The ambered nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with a few shallow marks along the profile length.
