A Phonic PCL 3200 dual channel compressor, limiter, and gate from Phonic’s California era, a straightforward 1990s rackmount dynamics processor designed for studio and live sound use.
The PCL 3200 features two fully independent channels with compression, limiting, and gating, each offering adjustable threshold, ratio, attack, release, and output controls. Side chain inputs on both channels allow for external keying, making it useful for more advanced dynamics control as well as general utility duties.
This is a no nonsense piece of late analog era outboard gear. Clean, predictable performance with simple controls that make it easy to dial in results quickly. Well suited for vocals, drums, bass, and general mix bus or subgroup applications, as well as permanent installation in a utility or live sound rack.
