This drum was obtained in very poor condition. Very dirty with a few parts missing and some scratching to the shell. With some tape and decals stuck to it. The drum was completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned and polished. Missing parts were replaced with genuine Sonor Phonic parts (mostly from a dealer in Stuttgart). The chrome cleaned up very nicely with no corrosion. The shell cleaned up quite well nicely but was quite dry. No attempt was made to remove the finish. A coat of tong oils was applied to the entire shell. The finish came back nicely. Scratches show dark through the tong oil.
The shell is 9 ply beech with sharp bearing edges. Heads were replaced with playable heads.
