Up for sale is this vintage 1967 Fender Coronado XII twelve-string hollowbody electric guitar. Before we go any further, just know that I really, really like this guitar...

This instrument looks to be all original with the exception of one strap button screw. Cosmetically, it's in nice condition but was obviously lovingly played over the years as evidenced by the finish wear on the back of the neck. There are some spots around the edges were the original binding process burned the wood (pictured) and we're somewhat shocked this one didn't end up as an Antigua model. There is one odd dime-sized round burn mark on the back under finish (pictured) so that's factory original as well. Other than a few small places of slightly shrinking, but tight binding, this one is in very nice condition for its age although there are numerous small dings, scuffs and scratches that one should expect from a vintage instrument that was played.

Our tech just went over this one by cleaning it up, polishing the frets, oiling the fretboard, spraying out the electronics, installing a fresh set of strings, and performing a set up. The instrument plays nicely with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. The neck is straight but our tech did note that the truss rod is nearly maxed out (common on these vintage twelves). The original frets show pretty heavy wear and divoting in the first few positions, but still retain plenty of life. I've personally been playing around with this one for the past week and I give it my personal seal of approval (and am thinking about taking it home to live with me).

A non-original softshell acoustic guitar case is included and has been almost comically padded with foam to protect the instrument. The guitar will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.
