The Unclean is a "cascading distortion," featuring two distinct distortion circuits running in series—one directly into the other. Designed with massive headroom, both channels offer the flexibility to act as a clean boost, a gritty drive, or a full-blown distortion engine.

The magic of the Unclean lies in the interaction between these two stages. With both gains at zero, you have a nearly transparent boost; as you crank them, the circuits blend to create a natural, touch-sensitive distortion that feels like a cranked tube amp.

To keep the chaos under control, the Resonance control offers a unique approach to tone shaping:

• Tighten the Low End: Turn it down to cut bass, perfect for stacking into fuzz pedals or tightening up a high-gain amp.
• Full & Modern: Dial it in for a thick, modern distortion that maintains clarity even at high gain.

Like every Non-Human Audio creation, the Unclean is hand-built and assembled with precision. The enclosures are finished by hand in my backyard, ensuring that every pedal has a slightly different, one-of-a-kind look. Your pedal is a unique piece of gear that sounds as raw as it looks.
