People… you know the deal, right?
You’re inside the Platinum Room at Guitar Center, and alas—you spot a 1958 Goldtop perched high above the rafters. You ask, excitedly, “How much?”
The number he spits out startles you… but it certainly doesn’t deter you.
This guitar is everything you dreamed of—but what comes next reminds you of a street carny running the shell game. (You know… find the ball under one of the three nuts.)
That’s when you realize—after you disposed of your poker face—that the leverage in this deal is the shabby, non-original case they present to you… instead of the correct case that actually matches the condition of the guitar.
Friends, as David Lee Roth would say: “I’ve been to the ledge and stood and looked down.”
I’ve been there many times—and we all know the added value a clean, correct case can bring to a guitar.
As for this 5-latch Cali Girl case… the pictures speak for themselves. All latches work properly, and it’s clean—without that funky, moldy smell.
And finally, if you need one (because you didn’t recognize that carny on the corner), I believe this is the best option.
Because nuts and balls… we can do without.
